Welcome to the IPA Western Cape Region
Nestled at the foot of one of the worlds most recognisable mountains, is a city. Voted one of the top holiday destinations in the world, it's a city we love to call home and it is here that two Regions meet. The West Coast Region and Western Cape Region of IPA South Africa.
The Western Cape Region was originally Wynberg Branch, one of the oldest branches in South Africa and one of the first branches established in the country. Eventually, a decision was taken to form a Region and Wynberg Branch became Western Cape Region.
Our members are spread over a wide area, with some as far away as parts of the Garden Route. However, members are held together by their common goals, and are by nature very sociable and they love to come together to celebrate life and welcome new friends.
We have had the opportunity to meet and host many international visitors over the years thanks largely to our Cape Town IPA hospitality house, Timour Hall Villa. It is here that many a steak braai (bbq), slide show or talk on international policing trends is held. Mostly though, it's a friendly chat with an international "brother" or "sister" held in the pub over a drink! It is here that friendships which last a lifetime are formed.
